About these terms
These Terms govern your use of the RingOtter website, iPhone app, and related services. RingOtter is operated by Implementables Pursuit, based in Spring Valley, California, United States (“we,” “us,” or “our”). Contact us at info@implementables.com.
By using RingOtter, you agree to these Terms. If you use it for a business, you confirm that you have authority to act for that business. You must be at least 18 and legally able to enter this agreement.
Your numbers, your account
RingOtter provides an interface for calls and texts through your own Twilio account. It does not supply a mobile carrier plan or transfer ownership of your phone numbers. You are responsible for a compatible iPhone, internet access, an active Twilio account, and any required number registration or verification.
Twilio, Apple, Google, and other third-party services have their own terms and policies. Their availability, charges, and restrictions are outside our control.
Not an emergency calling service
Do not use RingOtter for emergency calls, including 911. RingOtter is not a replacement for a primary phone or emergency service. Keep another way to reach emergency services.
Account security and routing
Provide accurate account information, protect your device and credentials, and connect only accounts and numbers you are authorized to use. Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.
Enabling calling or live-message features may change Twilio routing after you review and authorize the change. Review any existing integration before enabling those features. Restore routing before disconnecting if you need another service to handle your calls or messages.
Subscriptions and third-party charges
Any paid plan, included features, billing period, renewal terms, taxes, and price will be shown before purchase. A recurring subscription renews as disclosed at checkout unless you cancel through the billing provider. Deleting the app or a RingOtter profile does not by itself cancel a subscription.
Twilio separately bills for number rental, calls, messages, registration, and other usage or fees. “Unlimited linked numbers” refers to the number of connections the app allows, not unlimited calls, texts, or free Twilio service.
For purchases through Apple, manage cancellation and request eligible refunds through Apple. Other purchases follow the refund terms shown at checkout. Nothing here limits refund or cancellation rights required by law. RingOtter app fees are not charitable donations.
Use it responsibly
You are responsible for your communications, recipient consent, and compliance with applicable calling, messaging, marketing, privacy, and recording rules. Do not use RingOtter for unlawful messages, spam, fraud, harassment, impersonation, or activity that violates another person’s rights.
Do not attempt unauthorized access, interfere with the service, bypass usage restrictions, or misuse another person’s credentials or numbers. Third-party acceptable-use requirements, including Twilio’s, also apply.
AI reply suggestions
AI features use OpenAI to generate suggested wording from the conversation context submitted for that request. Use them only with information you are authorized to share. See our Privacy Policy for data handling.
Suggestions can be inaccurate, inappropriate, or incomplete. Review them before sending. You remain responsible for messages you send. AI output is not professional advice, and the feature does not promise a particular result.
Your content and our software
You keep your rights to your messages, contacts, and other content. You give us permission to process that content only as needed to provide, secure, and support the features you use, as described in our Privacy Policy.
We and our licensors retain rights in RingOtter’s software and branding. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the app in accordance with these Terms and any applicable app-store license. This does not give you ownership of the software or trademarks.
Availability and ending use
Calls and messages depend on your connection, device, Twilio, and other services. We do not guarantee uninterrupted service, delivery, or that every call or message will reach you. Features may change, and we may suspend access for misuse, security issues, or legal requirements. Where practical, we will explain material restrictions.
You can stop using RingOtter at any time. Use account controls or contact us to request account deletion. Deletion does not cancel Twilio service, delete records held by Twilio, or automatically restore third-party routing. See the Privacy Policy.
Warranties and responsibility
To the extent allowed by law, RingOtter is provided “as is” and “as available,” without implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
To the extent allowed by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses, including lost profits, data, or business opportunities. Our aggregate liability for claims relating to RingOtter is limited to the greater of US$100 or the amount you paid us for RingOtter during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.
These limits do not exclude liability that cannot legally be excluded, including liability for fraud, willful misconduct, or other non-excludable rights and remedies. Mandatory consumer protections still apply.
Changes, law, and contact
We may update these Terms. The updated version and its effective date will appear on this page; material changes will be communicated where required by law. Changes do not take away accrued rights.
California law governs these Terms, excluding its conflict-of-law rules, except where your local law requires otherwise. Nothing here removes mandatory consumer rights or requires you to waive a legally protected forum.
